Kurt Russell will star as a past-his-prime motorcycle stuntman and reformed thief in "The Black Marks," who is convinced by his brother, Matt Dillon, to pull off one last heist. Jay Baruchel has an as yet undetermined role in the film as well.
Director Jake Scott's biopic about Jeff Buckley has added Patricia Arquette in the role of the late singer-songwriter's mother, Mary Guibert. Reeves Carney, the brave soul who barely survived the lead role in the Broadway hit "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," will portray Buckley.
In competing Harry Reems news, Adam Brody has signed on to play the porn star in the other Lovelace biopic, "Lovelace," which has also added Demi Moore in a cameo as Gloria Steinem. They duo joins a cast that already has Amanda Seyfried in the title role, as well as Peter Sarsgaard, Juno Temple, Sharon Stone and James Franco. Variety
Matthew Fox will star in "Emperor," as an American General who is sent to Post-WWII Japan to determine whether or not Emperor Hirohito should be tried for war crimes, but strays from his mission to find a local girl he fell in love with before the war. Variety
Benedict Cumberbatch and Noel Clarke have joined the cast of "Star Trek 2," with the former on tap to play the villain and the latter's character still under wraps. Variety
