Britney Spears Confirms Engagement on Facebook

The twice-married pop star is headed down the aisle once again.

It's official -- because it's on Facebook.

Britney Spears changed her Facebook status from "in a relationship" to "engaged," one day after boyfriend Jason Trawick proposed, People reported.

The twice-married pop star hinted at the news via Twitter earlier Friday, exclaiming, "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo."

Trawick had popped the question following a dual birthday party in Los Angeles, according to an unnamed source close to the pop singer cited by People, Us Weekly, and E! News.

Spears met her 40-year-old agent beau in 2006 when she was still married to Kevin Federline (with whom she has two children, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5). Trawick represented Spears in a professional capacity and the two became a couple a few years after Spears' divorce from Federline.

The 30-year-old singer also had a quickie 2004 marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander during a wild stay in Las Vegas. It was annulled after a few days .

"We have such a great time together!" Spears told Us Weekly back in April, about Trawick. "He makes me laugh, and we are so comfortable being ourselves. I've never been happier."

Trawick was dropping hints over the past few days that he would be proposing this week while the two were visiting Vegas.
