WATCH: Orlando Commuter Train Hits Car

No serious injuries were reported.

A train from metro Orlando's new SunRail commuter rail system plowed into a stalled car this week, in a crash that was caught on train cameras.

The driver was able to get out of her car before it was hit Monday, and she suffered only minor injuries from flying debris, Maitland police officials said. No train passengers were hurt, officials said.

Florida Department of Transportation spokesman Steve Olson said the train systems operations were delayed for only a short time, and trains were running on time during the afternoon commute.

SunRail trains debuted at the beginning of the month.

Monday was the first day that riders had to pay fare to use the trains.
