Police: Tour Bus, Tractor-Trailer Crash in Vermont

State police say a tour bus and a tractor-trailer have collided in western Vermont. No serious injuries have been reported.

The Vermont State police said in a statement that a 911 call was received at about 8 p.m. Friday reporting the collision between a tour bus and tractor-trailer on Route 22A in West Haven, about 70 miles south of Burlington. Police said the injured were transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center and Porter Hospital.

A Rutland spokeswoman says that 22 adults have been treated for minor injuries, and most have been released. She said another adult with non-life-threatening injuries is being held overnight for observation. Porter cited privacy rules and declined to comment on the condition of crash victims transported there.

It's not immediately known how many passengers were on the tour bus, or the condition of the drivers involved. Neither the point of origin nor destination of the bus was immediately known.

There's no immediate word on the road or weather conditions at the time of the crash. Officials say the cause of the collision is under investigation.
