4 Kittens Found Slashed on Long Island: Report

The SCPA is offering a $1,000 reward to find whoever killed the 3-week-old kittens

Authorities say four kittens were found with their throats slashed in the rear of a Long Island business.

The Suffolk County SPCA says the black-and-gray newborn kittens were found Tuesday morning behind Riverhead Brake Service on East Main Street.

The group says the kittens likely were dumped there between 5 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

SPCA head Roy Gross told Newsday the kittens were about three weeks old. He says they were about the size of a hand.

The SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward to find whoever is responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the SPCA at 631-382-7722. All calls will be kept confidential.
