Half-Naked Woman Seen Walking on San Francisco Bay Bridge, Disrupts Traffic

A half-naked woman walking on the Bay Bridge disrupted traffic late Wednesday.

The incident was reported around 6:30 p.m. when the woman started walking on the 5th Street on-ramp and onto the bridge's western span, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers were able to take the woman into custody. She was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, according to the CHP.

Treasure Island-resident Tony Devencenzi was headed home on the bridge when he noticed a person walking in the center lane.

Devencenzi said a vehicle was seen trailing the woman with its hazard lights on, possibly to prevent her from being hit by traffic.

No other information was immediately available.
