A foundation set up by a Boston Marathon bombing survivor is donating its first artificial limb.

Heather Abbott, who lost a leg in the 2013 terrorist attacks at the Boston Marathon, established the Heather Abbott Foundation. Abbott said the foundation's first prosthesis recipient will be a 26-year-old woman from Walpole, Massachusetts.

Hillary Cohen will be fitted with a custom-made leg Monday at the office of her prosthetic specialist.

Cohen's right leg was amputated below the knee in 2014 because of complications from neurofibromatosis, a condition which causes tumors to form on nerve tissue.

Cohen said she's deeply grateful to get assistance from the foundation and is thrilled that her new leg will enable her to walk in heels for the first time.

"My life is now limitless," said Cohen.
