Family of Man Killed at ZombiCon Event Files $5 Million Lawsuit

The family of a man fatally shot at a “ZombiCon” event in Florida last month has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against organizers and a security company, NBC News reported.

The suit was filed on behalf of the grandmother of Expavious Tyrell Taylor, 20, who was killed during the charity event in Fort Meyers on Oct. 17.

The law firm representing the family says it is seeking $5 million from Pushing Daizies, the organizers, and security company Southwest Florida Security and Investigations.

Calls and emails to the security company and organizers by NBC News weren’t returned.

The shooter remains at large.
