FILE - Then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump walks on stage to introduce his wife Melania on the first day of the Republican National Convention on July 18, 2016, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

While President Donald Trump’s old tweets are often played for laughs, they can sometimes conflict so egregiously with his White House’s public statements that they become a valuable time capsule.

Many who’ve delved into the searchable archives of the president’s more than 35,000 tweets find that the social media posts take on new relevance as the Trump administration tries to move forward on its agenda.
