Colorado Man Convicted of Killing Wife on Fatal Anniversary Hike

A federal jury on Monday convicted Harold Henthorn of murder for pushing his wife off a cliff as they hiked at a Colorado national park on their wedding anniversary.

The jury came back with a verdict in about 10 hours, finding the 59-year-old guilty of first-degree-murder.

His wife, Toni, fell about 130 feet off a cliff in a remote area where the two had been hiking on Sept. 29, 2012. It was their 12th wedding anniversary.

Henthorn told police his wife wanted to take a photo of the view and said her fall was an accident.
