A 3-year-old boy shot his father and pregnant mother inside a New Mexico motel room, police told NBC News Sunday. On Saturday afternoon, the toddler managed to take a handgun out of his mother's purse and shoot one bullet, which passed through his father's hip and hit his mother's shoulder, the Albuquerque Police Department said in a statement. The mother, who is eight months pregnant, was hospitalized in stable condition, police said. The father has been treated and released.
