The body of a woman was found in a vacant building in SE Washington early Sunday after police got a call for a fire.
A spokesman for the DC Fire Department said crews were sent to a building in the 2700 block of Langston Place, SE around 6:10 a.m. They discovered the body inside the empty building.
Homicide/Violent Crimes unit from the police department took over the investigation.
No identity of the victim has been released.
