Woman Stabs Stranger on D.C. Metro Platform

Woman in her 20s wanted for stabbing man on platform of Van Ness Metro station Tuesday

A woman is wanted for stabbing a man on the platform of a Washington, D.C. Metro station Tuesday afternoon.

Metro Police were called to the Van Ness Metro station on the red line just after 5 p.m., where they found a man suffering from a stab wound to his left side. 

A woman in her 20s is wanted in connection with the incident. No other suspect information has been released, but D.C. Police are involved in the investigation.

Police say the victim and the suspect had exited a Wheaton-Glenmont-bound train when they got into an altercation on the Van Ness platform. They did not know each other.

The victim, a 56-year-old man, was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

No motive has been released. Metro Police released several images of the suspect via Twitter:
