Woman Stabbed On Metrobus

Altercation leads to stabbing on A8 bus

D.C. Police are investigating a stabbing that took place on a Metrobus in Southeast D.C. Sunday afternoon.

Investigators said that the incident happened at the intersection of 6th and Chesapeake Streets, Southeast at around 2:20 p.m. and occurred on a bus traveling the A8 route in the direction of Anacostia.

Authorities say that two women on the bus got into a confrontation, which ended with one of them stabbing the other several times. It is not clear what the confrontation was about. There has not been any confirmation of an arrest. The extent and seriousness of the woman's injuries are not known at this time.
