Police: Ex-Husband, Wife Charged in Ex-Wife's Death

A Nashville, Tenn., couple will be brought back to Montgomery County to face allegations they murdered the husband's ex-wife early Saturday morning.

Baldeo Teneja, 62, and his wife, 63-year-old Raminder Kaur, have been charged in the death of Teneja's ex-wife, Preeta Paul Gabba, 49.

Authorities say that cell phone and motel records show that Teneja and Kaur were in Montgomery County Friday and Saturday, and they signed their own names when checking into a Red Roof Inn in Rockville, reported News4's Jackie Bensen.

Detectives learned that Teneja was supposed to appear in court Oct. 10 to discuss $10,000 in back alimony and division of other property with his ex-wife, but failed to appear.

Teneja and Kaur had purchased two guns in their hometown of Nashville, Tenn., in the days leading up to the shooting, authorities said.

Gabba's 22-year-old son told News4 his mother worked long hours at a moving company.

"She always wanted me to focus on my school and finish college and become somebody in life," Lim Gabba, a student at Montgomery College said.

He said his mother was his only family in the United States, and he is now faced with the daunting task of making funeral arrangements.
