A woman has been injured Sunday after fire officials say she fell through scaffolding and down 40 feet inside a building in Northwest.
D.C. Fire and EMS officials said they arrived on the scene at 10th Street and V Street NW about 7:15 p.m.
The woman fell through the scaffolding on a wall on the third floor of the building and landed on the first floor between two brick walls.
She was trapped for a short period before firefighters freed her, fire officials said.
The woman was taken to a hospital with "priority 2" injuries. Fire officials said she is going to be fine.
