A woman with apparent trauma to her body was found dead in a Montgomery County apartment Wednesday, police said.
Family of the woman called 911 shortly after 11 a.m. asking authorities to check on the welfare of the woman at a home in the 3600 block of Bel Pre Road, Montgomery County Police said Thursday.
Officers responded and found the body of the woman inside.
The woman's body was taken to the chief medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
Those who knew the woman said she was from Liberia and had two children with her boyfriend. They haven't seen or heard from the boyfriend since the woman was found dead.
Police did not release any information on the possible cause of death or any possible suspects. Detectives are investigating the death as suspicious.
