Montgomery County Fire Rescue pulled a woman out of the C&O Canal after she apparently fell in and injured herself.
Authorities said the women fell into the canal and pulled herself out near Lock 15, between Anglers Inn and the Great Falls in Potomac, Maryland.
The area is reportedly not easily accessible to rescue crews.
A United States Park Police helicopter was called to the scene to assist. There is no word on her condition.
