Woman Charged in Drunk Driving Crash in Fairfax County

A 26-year-old woman was charged with driving under the influence in connection with a crash that injured several people, including two children and a Fairfax County police officer, Fairfax County authorities said.

An officer was making a traffic stop on Interstate 66 near Monument Drive about 10:15 p.m. Monday when a driver hit his police cruiser, police said. The cruiser then hit the vehicle the officer had stopped.

Police charged Dianna Holloway with driving under the influence. A 6-year-old boy riding in the vehicle that was struck by the police cruiser was injured as was the driver of the vehicle. Holloway, the officer and a 1-year-old who was with Holloway all had injuries that were not life-threatening.
