Yoga on Metro Tracks: Woman Arrested After Surveillance Video Shows Dangerous Moves

A woman has been arrested and charged with trespassing after police say she was caught on camera performing yoga moves on Metrorail tracks outside Washington, D.C.

Metro Transit Police tracked down the Virginia woman shown on camera late last year and arrested her this week.

As News4 previously reported, surveillance video captured after 11 a.m. Dec. 21 shows a woman take off her coat and scarf and then illegally hop onto tracks with a man at the West Falls Church station.

The woman begins to strike yoga poses, including a handstand, as the man appears to snap photos of her. She nearly falls twice, just feet from the electrified third rail.

The pair climbs back onto the platform and is approached by a Metro employee. They then hop onto a train.

The suspect had left Virginia and recently returned to the area. It's unclear how police identified her.

She is due in court later this month.
