The Washington Wizards traded Dwight Howard to the Memphis Grizzlies, NBC Sports Washington's Chris Miller confirmed.

In exchange for the 33-year-old center, the Wizards get 32-year-old guard C.J. Miles, who could see important time at point guard with John Wall out with an injury.

Earlier this week, NBC Sports Washington confirmed the Wizards agreed to terms with another point guard, Isaiah Thomas.

Thomas was a high-scoring, two-time NBA All-Star with the Boston Celtics before a hip injury limited him to 13.3 points per game over 44 games with three teams over the past two seasons.

The Grizzlies are expected to waive or trade Howard once the deal is complete.
