Icy Conditions North of DC; Rain Ends Overnight

Another round of winter weather snarled the Tuesday morning commute and created icy conditions in parts of the area in ice, knocking down trees and utility poles.

The rain will end over night. There could be isolated pockets of freezing rain in the warned areas, but temperatures are expected to remain above freezing.

In Damscus, Maryland, fallen utility poles blocked Log House Road and power outages were reported Tuesday.

Areas where ice accumulated on elevated surfaces could see more problems on a windy Wednesday with the ground saturated.

Wednesday will warm up into the 40s, but the wind will make it feel like the 30s. Expect gusts of 30-40 mph.

Thursday and Friday will be warmer, with temperatures in the mid-50s. There's a chance of showers on Friday.

Then, Storm Team4 is tracking winter storms Saturday and Sunday.
