White House Picks 6 Interns From Virginia

Six Virginians are among more than 140 people selected from across the country to participate in the summer White House internship program.

The White House says the program provides an opportunity to gain professional experience and build leadership skills. Interns work in departments ranging from the Offices of Cabinet Affairs and the Chief of Staff to the Offices of the First Lady and the Vice President. Other departments include the Presidential Personnel Office and the National Economic Council.

The interns from the state are: Manmeet Dhindsa of Poquoson; Yoon Dunham and Kevin Zeithaml of Charlottesville; Lisa Marrone of Centreville; Ibraheem Mehmood of Blacksburg; and Anna Stapleton of Fairfax.
