Weekend Work on Will Affect Metro's Red, Green, Yellow Lines

Weekend work will affect passengers traveling on the Red, Green and Yellow lines, Metro said.

Beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through Sunday, Red Line trains will share a single track in two areas, Metro said. Those areas are between Grosvenor and Twinbrook and between NoMa-Gallaudet and Fort Totten. Customers traveling through the work zones should allow about 15 minutes of extra travel time, Metro said.

On the Green Line, trains will single track between Fort Totten and Prince George's Plaza. Customers should allow 10 minutes of extra travel time.

Because of the work on the Green Line, Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Mount Vernon Square only. There is no scheduled work on the Orange or Blue lines.
