Severe Storms Take Down Trees and Power Lines

A line of severe storms brought down trees and power lines in the area.

Power lines fell on a school bus in Prince George's County and students were held on the bus as a precaution until crews could give the all clear.

In Lanham, Maryland, trees uprooted and fell across some roads and took down power lines.

Storm Team4 said scattered showers will continue through about 8 p.m.

Wind will be the main player overnight. A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service through 3 p.m. Saturday for areas north and west of Washington. Winds could gust upwards of 50 mph.

The wind will make it feel much colder in the morning as well with wind chills in the 30s and 40s. Saturday afternoon will be much better with highs reaching the 60s, although it will stay breezy.

Sunday is looking great with temperatures reaching the low 70s for much of the region.
