Washington Wizards Unveil New Patriotic Uniforms

The Washington Wizards are honoring the military with new patriotic uniforms.

The team unveiled the alternate uniforms Thursday. The red, white and blue uniforms feature stars and stripes on each side in honor of servicemen and women.

The team will wear the alternate uniforms during the 2016–2017 season at games designated as part of the military series. Different branches of the military will be honored at the games, and the USO will donate 100 tickets to families who belong to the branch of the military being highlighted that night.

The following games are a part of the series:

  • Nov. 11 vs Cleveland Cavaliers - 7 p.m. (National Guard)
  • Dec. 14 vs Charlotte Hornets - 7 p.m. (Air Force)
  • Jan. 18 vs Memphis Grizzlies - 7 p.m. (Marines)
  • Feb. 10 vs Indiana Pacers - 8 p.m. (Army)
