Washington Capitals Playoffs: Your Essential Guide to Deals, Watch Parties and More

The battle to defend the Capitals' ownership of the Stanley Cup has begun.

NBC Washington has your guide on how to enjoy the game inside and outside the arena. 

Game Dates and Times

The Capitals need to pull off four wins in a seven-game series against the Hurricanes to advance in the playoffs.

Do-or-die Game 7 will determine which team keeps their hopes for a Stanley Cup title alive. The home team has won each game in the first-round series, so it's promising that the Caps are playing in D.C. on Wednesday.

The next game scheduled is:

  • Game 7: Wednesday, April 24 in Washington, D.C. (Tune In: NBCSW)

The winner of this series will go on to face the New York Islanders, who swept their first round series agaisnt the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Parking

Capital One Arena has partnered with Spot Hero, a parking reservation service, for fans to find parking in the area. Parking Panda, an online parking service, also has a map that highlights different parking options for the game.

The Capitals have named this sports bar their official after-party spot during the playoffs. Head over for giveaways, alumni visits and happy hour specials. Regular happy hour specials include half-price appetizers and pizza and $2 off plenty of drinks. Happy hour goes from 3-6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 p.m. to close Sunday to Wednesday.
