Missing Virginia State Police Dog Found Safe

Virginia State Police said one of their explosive detection dogs has been found safe.

A Facebook post on the Prince William County Police Department page said Chuy went missing in the Nokesville, Virginia, area. They said he decided to “take the day off” shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., Chuy's handler, Brandon West, posted on his Facebook page that the dog was found and safe at home. West thanked all those who searched and spread the word on social media.

No word on how Chuy spent his "day off."
