The public will have an opportunity to weigh in on the Virginia Railway Express' proposed 4 percent fare increase.
The commuter rail service has scheduled seven public hearings on the proposed hike, The Free Lance-Star reports.
The first hearing is set for Feb. 18 at the Stafford County Government Center in Stafford.
Other hearings are scheduled Feb. 19 in Washington, D.C., Feb. 24 in Burke, Feb. 25 in Arlington, Feb. 26 in Manassas, March 3 in Woodbridge and March 5 in Fredericksburg.
The fare increase is scheduled to take effect in July.
