Victim's Brother Accused in Shooting Near Montgomery College

A 21-year-old man shot his older brother during a fight in Rockville, Maryland, Tuesday morning, according to police.

The 23-year-old victim flagged down a driver at Hungerford Drive and Mannakee Street after being shot in both legs and asked for help, police said.

The driver called 911 and took the victim to nearby Montgomery College, but the victim was not forthcoming with investigators, police said.

Investigators developed the victim's brother as the suspect and arrested him without incident Tuesday.

James Joseph Frederick, 21, is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in a violent crime. He is being held on $125,000 bond.
