A domestic situation turned into a barricade situation in Fairfax County, Virginia, on Monday, but police said it ended peacefully.
Police said officers were called to the 14500 block of Golden Oak Road in Centreville, Virginia, for a domestic violence incident. Inside the home, they met with a man and asked to speak to the victim. It was at that point that the man fled upstairs and refused to come down.
Officers were able to clear the home of other people. They said the victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
After about six hours, officers confronted the man inside the home. They said he resisted arrested but was taken into custody.
Video from the scene showed him being led outside and being lightly hosed down by the fire department. It is unknown why they were rinsing him. He was taken away in an ambulance.
Police have not identified the suspect or the victim.
