A U.S. Park Police officer was injured in a crash on the 14th Street Bridge near the Jefferson Memorial.
The officer was riding a motorcycle when he rear-ended a Jeep and flew over the handlebars, a Park Police representative said.
Northbound I-395 and all but one lane of southbound I-395 were closed as the officer was rushed to a hospital via a helicopter that landed on the roadway.
The officer suffered a broken collar bone but will be OK, the representative said.
