Two Teenagers Charged With Arson in Germantown House Fire

Two teenagers have been charged with arson in connection with a house fire that injured three firefighters in Germantown last week.

The Oct. 28 fire at 17809 Falconcrest Circle left a family of four displaced and caused more than $400,000 in damages.

One resident was home at the time of the fire and was able to escape.

The first firefighters were arrived around 4:45 p.m. and found heavy fire at the rear of the three-story home near a deck. Authorities believe the fire may have started there, although it spread through the house and reached all three floors.

More than 60 firefighters were ultimately called to battle the fire. Three sustained non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

No civilians were hurt.

Two juvenile suspects were arrested Thursday for arson and other related charges, Montgomery County fire investigators said.
