Two people were arrested in two separate White House security breaches in less than 24 hours, NBC News reported.
Around 6:45 a.m. Monday, a man tried to get in through a gate that was open for construction workers who were leaving from a north side entrance of the White House.
The man was detained and arrested after a physical confrontation, said Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary.
The arrest came just hours after a previous incident Sunday night. In that case, someone stepped over a bike rack positioned as an outer security perimeter outside the White House fence.
That man was charged with unlawful entry, Leary said.
The agency is investigating both cases.
Several security breaches at the White House last year led to the resignation of then-Secret Service director Julia Pierson.
