Two Maryland men have been charged with murder related to an arranged drug deal.
Damien Jamaal Lee, 36, of Brookeville, and 31-year-old Delton Alex Brown of Gaithersburg are charged with the first-degree murder of 46-year-old Wei Wu of Northwest D.C.
Police responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. Jan. 25 about a person slumped over the steering wheel of a car parked near the intersection of Whispering Pines Drive and Weeping Willow Court in Aspen Hill.
Investigators found the man had been shot; the medical examiner found multiple gunshot wounds and subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
Police said Lee and Brown arranged to meet Wu in the Bel Pre area to purchase three-and-a-half pounds of marijuana. Authorities said they found enough cash, cocaine and marijuana in Wu's home to indicate drug distribution.
Brown was arrested Feb. 10; Lee was arrested Feb. 12. They are being held without bond.
