Boys, 11 and 14, Charged With Walmart Armed Robbery

Two Baltimore boys -- one 11 years old and the other 14 -- were charged with armed robbery and assault for allegedly attempting to rob a woman in a Walmart parking lot.

Early Sunday afternoon, the victim, a 34-year-old woman, called Anne Arundel police to report an attempted robbery at a Walmart in Glen Burnie. The would-be robbers, two boys, approached the victim with a knife and demanded that she drop her merchandise. The woman ignored their demands and continued walking.

The suspects fled on foot to a section of woods near the store.

Later that evening, the victim called police again to say she had seen the two young men walking towards the Glen Burnie Mall. Officers arrived on the scene and began a search for the pair.

With help from mall security, the boys were found inside the mall; a search of the two revealed a knife matching the victim's description.

The two were positively identified and arrested. Their case is in juvenile court.
