Truck Crashes Into Maryland Bakery; Owner Snaps Photo With Driver

Fortunately, no one was hurt

A pickup truck crashed through the front window of a French bakery in Maryland on Wednesday -- but the business owner didn't hold a grudge. He took a photo with the driver.

Icy conditions sent the huge Dodge pickup barreling into Fresh Baguette Bakery in Rockville about 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Surveillance footage shows the moment the truck crashed in. Two people can be seen jumping out of the way.

"We heard great noise," the business owner, Florent de Felcourt, said.

Despite the damage to his business, de Felcourt wasn't angry with the driver. He offered the man a cup of coffee and posed for a picture with him.

"We were extremely lucky. Absolutely no one was injured," de Felcourt said.

Fire officials said black ice in the parking lot caused the crash.

The shop's eclairs, meringue hearts and baguettes were all spared.

"Pas une égratignure," said a woman who works at the shop, using the French for "not a scratch."
