Trooper Stable After Being Struck While in Her Car in Md.

A Maryland State Police trooper is in stable condition after being struck in her vehicle while responding to another accident.

State police said Trooper Jasmine Ingram was responding to a single vehicle collision Saturday morning around 6:20 a.m. on the inner loop of I-495 in Prince George's County, Maryland, when the crash occurred. State police said she was pulled over on the shoulder and was in her vehicle when she was struck by the driver of a Toyota Corolla.

State police said Ingram was taken to a hospital but was in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

State police said the crash is being investigated, and charges are pending, but alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

The initial crash that Ingram was responding was investigated by other Maryland State Police troopers.
