Green Line Service Resumes After Man Struck, Killed

SUITLAND, Md. -- Metrorail service between the Naylor Road and Branch Avenue stations has resumed after a man was struck and killed by a train at the Suitland station late Friday morning, according to Metro.

The Suitland station was closed for about 45 minutes, and shuttle bus service was established at the Branch Avenue, Naylor Road and Suitland stations.

Riders still should expect delays up to 15 minutes in both directions while trains share one track between Naylor Road and Branch Avenue.

Prince George's County Fire and Rescue units and Metro Tranist Police are investigating. It appears the man was on the tracks intentionally, according to Metro.
