Three Men Sexually Assault Woman on Yellow Line Train: Metro

Three men sexually assaulted a woman on a Metro train Thursday night, according to WMATA.

About 9:30 p.m., the men approached the woman on an inbound Yellow Line train between Eisenhower Avenue and Braddock Road and asked her to perform a sex act, the woman told police. She refused, and the men grabbed her body.

She reported the assault to police, who canvassed trains and stations along the line, Metro said.

The woman described the men as being between the ages of 18 and 30, weighing about 140 pounds, and standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall. One wore a red shirt with an "AERO" logo and blue jeans. Another wore a black shirt with a white T-shirt underneath and black jeans. The third wore a black Nike Pittsburgh Pirates shirt and blue jeans.

Using those descriptions, detectives found three persons of interest using Metro's cameras. Anyone who recognizes them or has information about the assault should call Metro Transit Police at 202-962-2121 or text a message to MyMTPD (696873).
