Two Juveniles, One Adult Shot at Branch Avenue Metro Station in Suitland

Two juveniles and an 18-year-old were shot Sunday night near the bus bay at Branch Avenue Metro station in Maryland, according to a WMATA spokesperson.

One of the minors suffered life-threatening injuries. The adult victim and other juvenile suffered not life-threatening injuries.

Metro Transit Police responded to the shooting in Suitland at around 5:15 p.m. One juvenile suspect is in custody, the spokesperson said.

The group of four appear to have exited the station together before an altercation in the parking lot. Four firearms were recovered at the scene, the spokesperson said. They did not provide more details about the altercation.

The bus loop is closed during the ongoing investigation. There is no impact to rail service.
