ATTACK OF THE EMBEZZLING IT GUYS
The White House got a heads up before FBI agents raided the former offices of a new Obama administration technology official, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said. The tech office's information systems security officer, Yusuf Acar, and Sushil Bansal the head of a technology firm that did contracting for the District, were taken into custody Thursday morning and appeared in court Thursday afternoon. They are accused of bribery and money laundering. Investigators found $70,000 cash at Acar's house, authorities said. (NBCWashington.com)

TEEN TAKES MONEY, FAILS TO RUN
A 16-year-old Minnesota boy has given away thousands of dollars to fellow students and a school aide. The bag full of money he found was apparently tossed by a drug dealer. When asked how he got the $100 bills, the student first said it was his allowance. He later said he found it in a ditch — and led police to a spot by a highway where they also found marijuana and scales. (MSNBC)

2009 IS SUPER UNLUCKY
If Friday the 13th is unlucky, then 2009 is an unusually unlucky year. This week's Friday the 13th is one of three to endure this year. The first came last month. The next is in November. Such a rare triple-threat occurs only once every 11 years. (AOL News)

BECAUSE RELISH IS WAY HARDER TO MAKE THAN GREY POUPON
How do you make relish? That's the question police said thieves used to distract an elderly woman in a Wal-Mart store as they stole her purse. Now they're looking for the three suspects after hundreds of dollars in charges were made to the 79-year-old woman's credit cards for beer, cigarettes and gift cards. (SFGate.com)
