PROTESTERS RALLY AT QUANTICO FOR BRADLEY MANNING
Inside NoVA: "Singing “We Shall Overcome” and blowing whistles, about 150 activists marched outside Quantico Marine Corps base Monday to protest what they call the inhumane treatment of Army Pvt. Bradley Manning, accused of providing classified documents to the WikiLeaks website.

Military police officers, Town of Quantico and Prince William County lawmen stood by as the group crossed U.S. 1 and marched to the arch at the base entrance that reads "Quantico Crossroads of the Marine Corps." The protestors were not permitted to go past the arch."


GEORGE ALLEN TO MOUNT COMEBACK CAMPAIGN IN VA
WTOP: "It looks like former Virginia Senator and Governor George Allen is about to jump back in the game.

Politico reports Allen is planning to tell supporters within a week that he's starting a campaign to retake the Senate seat he lost to Democrat Jim Webb in 2006.

Webb has sent mixed signals about whether he will seek reelection."

TOWSON U DOUSES SMOKING ON CAMPUS
Washington Post: "Towson University first pushed its smokers out of campus buildings and into the great outdoors. Then, 30 feet away from buildings. Finally, last semester, it was off campus altogether.

Between classes, smokers rush to the state- or county-owned roads edging the Baltimore County campus. Not stepping off school property before lighting up can mean a $75 fine."

'PREPPY' BURGLAR PLEADS GUILTY

Washington Examiner: "The Silver Spring man dubbed the "preppy burglar" because he was accused of breaking into homes wearing dress shirts and ties has pleaded guilty.

Court records show 30-year-old Jeremy M. Hall pleaded guilty to theft and burglary charges earlier this month. He admitted to breaking into homes last fall in Montgomery and Howard counties. The thefts gained attention after police distributed a video showing him burglarizing a home in a collared dress shirt and other professional attire.

He was apprehended through a citizen's tip."
