President Obama's campaign has given to charity a $4,600 campaign donation from fugitive money man R. Allen Stanford, who is accused of $8 billion in fraud. A former campaign aide said the president's campaign donated the money to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. (The Hill)

93-year-old Woman in Wheelchair has Purse Snatched at the Mall Three Spotsylvania men were charged yesterday after a 93-year-old disabled woman’s purse was snatched from her wrist in the mall parking lot. 1st Sgt. Liz Scott of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was sitting in her wheel chair in the parking lot of the Spotsylvania Towne Center around 3 p.m. She was waiting for her daughter to open the car door, when a man ran by and grabbed the purse. Police: Woman Staged Robbery to Hide Fraud

A Fairfax woman has been charged in a staged bank robbery to cover up her embezzlement at the bank, Vienna Police say. Police released a statement Wednesday saying 26-year-old Mekeda Smith-El was arrested Feb. 13. On Jan. 28, Smith-El reported an armed robbery at a Wachovia Bank in the 200 block of Maple Avenue. Police later learned Smith-El reported the fake bank robbery to stage a cover-up of her alleged embezzlement. (WTOP)

Trump Buys Sterling Golf Club

Donald Trump – yes, the Donald -- has added a part of Loudoun to his vast collection of properties. The celebrity real estate mogul bought this month the private Lowes Island Club, a golf resort located along the banks of the Potomac River in Sterling.“The fact that this course has such a large expanse on the Potomac River near our country’s capital was a big reason for my interest," Trump said in a statement.
