Bundle Up! Chilly Spring Temps Leave DC Shivering

Don't put away your winter coat just yet.

Wind chills across the D.C. area were in the 20s early Tuesday morning, a 50-degree drop from Monday's springlike weather.

A freeze warning will be in effect for D.C. and parts of Maryland and Virginia until 10 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service warns residents that plants sensitive to freezing temperatures could be damaged or killed. Temperatures from 27 to 32 degrees are expected, according to Storm Team4.

Tuesday will eventually warm to a high of 51 degrees. Wednesday also will be cold in the morning, and then a high of 58 degrees is expected.
