WASHINGTON -- Two teenagers were shot in the area of 46th Street and Bass Place in Southeast early Tuesday afternoon.
Several shots were fired, striking the victims and going through some apartment windows. The victims ran to a barber shop in a shopping center to get help.
Streets were closed in the area while police searched for clues.
The victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment. One is in critical condition. The other is stable.
Residents neighborhood described the shooting as sad but not surprising, noting an apparent rise in youth violence.
