Teens Accused in Series of Leesburg Larcenies

Police have arrested three Leesburg teens in connection with a series of recent vehicle larcenies.

James Thomas Cannaday, Anthony Vincent Tangorra, both 18, and a 16-year-old boy were taken into custody June 6.

Between June 2 and 3, personal items were stolen from unlocked vehicles in the Woodlea Manor, Greenway Farms, and Country Club subdivisions. Police say the suspects stole satellite radios, wallets, credit cards, sunglasses and loose change.

Some of the credit cards were used at local stores, and a number of the stolen items were found during a search of a home in the 1200 block of Hawling Place SW, , investigators add.

Cannaday and Tangorra were charged with larceny with the intent to sell. Charges are pending against the 16-year-old.

Police would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in plain sight.
