A 15-year-old boy was hit multiple times and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The victim has been identified as Makai Green, 15, of Northwest D.C.

“We’re looking for a lone shooter, who exited a silver Mercedes with tinted windows, ran past through the folks on the sidewalk, ran to the alley and shot at a specific group of people of which this juvenile was a part of,” D.C. police Assistant Chief Andre Wright said.

Police said it was a targeted shooting.
