A Maryland teen has been charged in connection with upskirting photos taken of women who were riding the escalator at various Metro stations.
Brandon Lynn Williams, 19, of Forestville, Maryland was arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse. Police were able to find Williams after a woman contacted Metro Transit police about someone with a hand up her skirt on Aug. 3.
Authorities reviewed surveillance video and saw Williams allegedly place a cellphone up the victim’s skirt. He was arrested, and investigators found multiple cellphones, computers and hard drives at his Prince George’s County residence.
Other victims seen on images on the electronic devices have been contacted by police. However, investigators said there are still potentially more female victims who are unaware that upskirt photos were taken.
They said several incidents known to investigators occurred at Columbia Heights Station Wednesday evening, Aug. 2, on the ascending escalator located on the west side of 14th Street, Northwest. Police believe Williams was also at the Columbia Heights and U Street Metrorail stations the following day, Thursday, August 3.
Investigators said all of the victims were females wearing skirts.
