Sweetlife Festival's 2016 Lineup Revealed

Save the date: May 14 at Merriweather Post Pavilion

D.C. salad eatery Sweetgreen has announced this year's lineup for their Sweetlife Festival.

What used to be a two-day event has been condensed to a single day this year, May 14 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

The lineup includes British pop rock band The 1975, American electro-pop act Halsey and Australian DJ and producer Flume. While most of the acts are fairly recently established, there'll be a serving of nostalgia with Blondie taking the stage.

Eagles of Death Metal, whose concert at the Bataclan came under fire during the Paris terrorist attacks in November, also joins the lineup.

Most of the acts are indie rock, pop and electronic. PARTYNEXTDOOR is set to be the festival's only R&B act, followed by Shamir as the only rap act. Look for funk vibes from Thundercat, the bassist who helped Kendrick Lamar on his latest album, "To Pimp a Butterfly."

Last year, Lamar and The Weeknd shared the stage with Goldlink, Vic Mensa, SZA and Raury.

Along with the music, there will also be a showcase of food from local Japanese restaurant Toki Underground, hummus place Little Sesame and, of course, Sweetgreen. For the full music and food lineup, visit their website.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. but presale tickets are available if you get the presale code from their Instagram account. General admission is $100; pavilion tickets are $125, and VIP access is $150.
